We aim for service users to live individual lives meeting the needs
of their individual care
plans, we encourage motivate & stimulate a fulfilled lifestyle
promoting independence.
Once this is achieved, Lawwood have a ‘sister’ company which care
for service
users in the community providing continuity of care.
Location
Our home is on the main road; it is a normal house, unsigned with no
indication as to its use.
Our home is warm, homely, clean and well maintained. The furniture,
carpets and decoration
are of very high standard throughout. Close by are shops, pubs, a
church, a bus route and
Towneley Park. Burnley town centre is only a 15 minute walk away.
Transport is available if
required as we have our own minibus.
Lawwood is registered
CQC (Care Quality Commision).We have eleven single bedrooms which benefit
from 24 hour residential care, two of the bedrooms are ensuite and
Lawwoodaims to provide all bedrooms with
ensuite facilities in the near future. We take male and female
service users with a diagnosis ofsevere &
enduring mental illness.
Visitors are welcome, but days and times are
arranged under the discretion of staff.
Meals
Service users are provided with flexible breakfasts and lunches and
a choice of evening
meals which are healthly, well balanced and appetising. Lawwood
prides itself in offering a
wide variety of meals. Service users are encouraged to be involved
in meal preparation
giving them vital skills for independent living.
Training Room
As well as a kitchen in the home, Lawwood also benefits from a
purpose built training room
for service users who are approaching the stage when they require a
more intense
knowledge of basic living skills, such as cooking, washing, ironing
with the guidance of staff
members, shopping and budgeting skills are also addressed.
