Staff
Lawwood was founded in 1991 by director Pauline Law, who later started Pride Community Care Services in 2002.
Pauline achieved NVQ level 4 Managers Award in 1996.
Amanda Balmer is the operations manager. She has several years experience in both residential and nursing care, in addition to extensive knowledge and experience of domicillary care provision. She continues to update and
expand her knowledge and skills.
Qualified to RGN and RMN Dip level, she holds an honours degree in Health Studies and the D32/33 Tutor/Assessor qualifications for the delivery and assessment of NVQs. She
has also achieved the NVQ Level 4 Managers Award, and is a qualified assessor for support workers on NVQs in the home. Amanda is NMC registered.


 
Stella Parrington, manager of Lawwood has acheived NVQ Level 2/3/4 and qualified to RMA & ITP. The deputy
manager, Nicola Braithwaite has achieved NVQ Levels 2/3 and is working towards her management qualifications.
We have 16 staff in addition to Pauline, Amanda and Stella.
The majority of our experienced and dedicated support workers are qualified to NVQ Level 2/3 in care; others are
working to achieve the same standard. All of our staff hold a First Aid Certificate; and between them certificates in the
administration of medication; moving and handling; risk assessment; and food hygiene.
All staff have satisfactory POVA and CRB checks and have signed a confidentiality agreement that applies during and
after their employment. Our employees are monitored, supported and given professional guidance.
